The Russian International Short Wave Listeners Club (RSWLC) was created with the aim of uniting fans of receiving amateur and broadcast radio stations.

Short Wave Listener, SWL – an amateur radio operator who does not have his own radio transmitter, receiving radio stations using a radio receiver. SWLs are full participants of the amateur radio movement, can receive awards, participate in contests.

The club sets itself the following tasks:

- popularization of scientific and technical knowledge in the field of radio engineering;

- improving the technical skills of Club members;

- assistance in obtaining an amateur radio call sign;

- organization and holding of meetings, seminars, sports competitions;

- advertising and information activities in the interests of the functioning of the Club.
